We work hard to ensure that trailers we move deliver on time and are damage free. In fact, our success rate at that is high–95% to be exact! But this is trucking, and so on occasion, a trailer may deliver with more than the normal wear and tear damage. So what happens if damage like this occurs during a load out move? First Things First
It is important to first note that we work diligently to work with only the most reputable vendors. We have spent the last 35 years forging relationships with everyone we do business with, working hard to weed out the bad apples. This is why our success rate of delivering trailers with only the normal wear and tear is so great! But everyone is human, so accidents happen. When they do, we work to make things right.
Damage Claim Process
Paperwork is the key to a successful damage claim recovery. Sufficient paperwork showing that a trailer was delivered in damaged condition means we are better able to help you recover the damages. First, if a trailer arrives in damaged condition outside of the normal wear and tear from loading, we must have a signed delivery receipt. It is important that the receiving customer do a good inspection and note the damage on the receipts. The delivery carrier needs to sign, date and acknowledge the damage for us to be able to collect. As long as this procedure is followed, Nationwide is able to pay the customer for the damage and then collect it back from the responsible trucking company. When this process is followed, we believe that we are the best in the business when it comes to damage claim recovery!
